Three more titles added to the site-index:—

Researching Korean Culture adds JURN to the sidebar. Classics blog Arxaiognosia has added a JURN sidebar search-box. Medieval Studies blog Ficta Eloquentia recommends JURN. The Fondren Library at Rice University adds JURN to its online resources list for anthropology. JURN linked by Ohio Universities InfoTree. Fanshawe College lists JURN in their student guide to online resources — although claims that JURN only indexes 13 magazines(!). I guess someone read the launch blurb about “1300 journals” but decided it was far too many and must be a typing error
All the JURN Directory links have been checked for viability, and re-found and repaired if needed. I’ve adjusted the JURN site-index links for all re-found journal websites.

I made some small tweaks to the colours, the font size and the typeface on JURN’s front page. If you’re not a designer you probably won’t notice the difference, but it should be a little easier on the eye now.
A proposal for a preservation plan for small-press literary journals.
I used to hang around Wikipedia quite a lot, and have probably contributed around 200 original articles, and contributed to another 600 or so. No more. Why? Because I choose not to have a recognised single nickname — and thus seemed to attract the intolerance of the increasingly arbitrary Wiki Police. The Scholarly Kitchen covers a debate happening now, and reports one of the reasons for a marked plateau in submissions…
“The apparent intolerance for green-horn editors and furtive fixers has some concerned their exclusionary approach will have a chilling effect on prospective new editors, choking off new blood when it’s needed most.”
